It would be convenient to apply this fix. Some distributions are shipping RC versions. See #123. |

+1 that seems acceptable to me. At least that get rid of the issue with rc versions :-) @Byron I guess you can just cherry-pick this patch on tip of 0.3 |

This fixes the Git version parser, which breaks on
git versionoutput of "git version 1.8.0.msysgit.0".
